Plans and conducts group therapy as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program or physician's order. Conducts, assesses, and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment. Reviews all multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a multidisciplinary treatment plan under the supervision of the attending physician. Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program. Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals; combines reports from all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary. Delivers patient services in an ethical manner that promotes respect for the patient and enhances their dignity and satisfaction; demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret a patient’s response to treatment in an age, disability, and culturally sensitive manner. Assesses and interprets age, disability, cultural needs; identifies safety, psychosocial, special mobility, and special equipment needs; and communicates in a culturally sensitive manner to patients and their families. Conducts treatment and discharge planning in accordance with age, disability, and cultural needs and involves patients' support systems in decision making as appropriate. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Educational and Experience Requirements At a minimum a Clinical Social Worker (CSW), LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPC-A (TX Only), or Psychologist. 0 to 1 year post‑graduate experience in clinical practice. Qualifications and Skills Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to any age‑related disability and cultural needs of patients. Knowledge of growth and development principles appropriate to the patient population served. Ability to assess and interpret data about patients’ status to identify needs and provide appropriate care, including age‑, disability‑, and culturally sensitive care for adolescent, chronic mental illness, adult, geriatric, chemically dependent, and dual‑diagnosis populations. In‑depth knowledge of mental illness and chemical dependency and related family dynamics. Basic knowledge of chronic mental illness; in‑depth knowledge of clinical therapy modalities. Excellent communication and group/process skills as related to age‑specific patient needs. Demonstrate assessment, intervention, treatment, and discharge planning skills. Ability to pass the general age/disability post‑test. Versatile, flexible, capable of performing in stressful situations; good time and organizational skills; capable of coordinating multit‑faceted workload. Ability to work with an array of mentally and physically disabled persons. Must successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans‑approved behavioral de‑escalation program. Working Environment Subject to many interruptions, occasional pressure from multiple calls and inquiries.
