Overview
Our organization is on the lookout for a talented BE/BC Sleep Medicine Physician to join our team in the scenic city of Albuquerque, New Mexico .

Position Details:

• Join our Sleep Clinic dedicated to Sleep Medicine.

• Work schedule includes 36 hours of patient interaction and 4 hours dedicated to administrative tasks each week, from Monday to Friday.

• Collaborate with a team consisting of 2 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner.

• No supervisory duties for advanced practice providers.

• No on-call responsibilities.

• Focus on thorough assessment and treatment of various sleep disorders.

• Engage in a multidisciplinary approach, working alongside specialists in Pulmonology, Neurology, Psychiatry, ENT, and Primary Care.

• Opportunity to interpret polysomnography (PSG), MSLT, MWT, HSAT, and PAP titration studies.

• Manage CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV therapies, including initiation, adjustments, troubleshooting, and ongoing follow-up.

• Evaluate and treat conditions such as insomnia, hypersomnia, parasomnias, circadian rhythm disorders, sleep-related movement disorders, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

• Participate in research, outcome studies, and quality improvement projects.

• Telemedicine options are available for sleep consultations and follow-up care.

• Emphasize patient education, sleep hygiene, adherence to PAP therapy, and long-term treatment success.

• On-site X-ray services available.

• Utilize advanced technology: Our providers leverage Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to streamline documentation, lessen administrative tasks, enhance patient flow, and ensure precise coding, promoting a better work-life balance and increased revenue.

Essential Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Sleep Medicine through ABIM, ABFM, ABPN, or ABSM pathways.

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship.

• Background in Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine with additional training in Sleep Medicine.

• Possession of an active state medical license and DEA registration, or the ability to obtain them.

• Proven experience in evaluating and managing sleep disorders.

• Experience in assessing and treating insomnia, hypersomnia, parasomnias, circadian rhythm disorders, sleep-related movement disorders, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

• Ability to interpret polysomnography (PSG), MSLT, MWT, HSAT, and PAP titration studies.

• Proficient in managing CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV therapies.

• Skilled in evidence-based diagnosis and treatment planning for complex sleep-related breathing disorders.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in behavioral sleep medicine or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

• Board Certification in Sleep Medicine through ABIM, ABFM, ABPN, or ABSM pathways.

• Understanding of upper airway and ENT-related factors contributing to sleep-disordered breathing.

• Experience in providing telemedicine and virtual sleep medicine services.

• Involvement in clinical research, outcome studies, or quality improvement initiatives.

• Excellent patient-centered communication skills focused on sleep hygiene, PAP adherence, and long-term treatment success.
