Behavioral Health Therapist

Position Overview The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a Therapist in the Assertive Community Treatment program. Responsibilities Crisis intervention Assessment Treatment planning Care management Individual and group therapy Coordination of treatment services Compliance with federal, state, and agency policies and procedures Functioning as a member of a busy, mobile clinical team utilizing advanced clinical skills Transporting individuals in program vehicles Working days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays; performing on-call rotation responsibilities Qualifications Master’s degree; license eligible within one (1) year of hire or possess professional licensure through the VA Department of Health Professions Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Two (2) years of professional experience working with individuals who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis, which may include internship experience. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged. Must be able to wear N‑95 mask and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shield, mask, apron, gown, gloves, etc. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre‑employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV, and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or the regional state of residence. Benefits Hiring salary commensurate with experience. $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County’s Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
