Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security ExperienceValid Driver's License Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:30 AM - 04:30 PMTue04:30 AM - 04:30 PMSun04:30 AM - 04:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Verify visitor, contractor, and employee access credentials; issue and collect badges or passes; and maintain accurate access-control records. Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle access, and restricted areas at a chemical and petrochemical location, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
