Registered Nurse (RN): Med Surg

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care to join our team. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Shift Information

• Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: Full-time
• Weekend Hours: Required

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 39
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, congestive heart failure, infections
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 RN for every 4 patients
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Paragon

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Med Surg setting preferred.
• Certifications: BLS certification required; additional certifications may be preferred.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue for RNs, Grey for CNAs
• Any unacceptable attire: Casual clothing, jeans, and open-toe shoes are not permitted.

Additional Information

Orientation for new hires is conducted bi-weekly. Start dates include upcoming sessions on 10/12 and 10/26.
