Site Manager

Job Description: Site Manager Huntsman is seeking a Site Manager supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Los Angeles, California. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. Job Scope The Site Manager is accountable for all aspects of site performance, including safety, environmental compliance, production, quality, maintenance, engineering, financial performance, and people leadership. This highly visible role provides the opportunity to shape site strategy, develop future leaders, and drive operational excellence, capacity expansion, new product commercialization, and a high-performance culture. The Los Angeles site manufactures high-value specialty epoxy and polyurethane materials serving aerospace, automotive, energy, and industrial markets. Safety & Compliance Champion a Zero Harm culture through active and visible safety leadership. Ensure compliance with Huntsman standards and all applicable federal, California, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Provide executive oversight for emergency preparedness, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and site security. Serve as the site's Ethics and Compliance Officer and reinforce Huntsman's Business Conduct Guidelines. Ensure contractors, visitors, and employees consistently meet site safety and compliance expectations. Operational Excellence & Delivery Lead daily manufacturing operations across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering. Improve reliability, asset utilization, productivity, and operational discipline. Partner with Supply Chain, Product Development, Logistics, and commercial teams to support customer commitments, new product introductions, and capacity expansion. Drive operational decisions using performance metrics to improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency. Financial & Business Leadership Provide accountability for site financial performance, including operating budgets, capital expenditures, and P&L results. Manage capital investment planning and execution. Align site objectives with regional and corporate business priorities while improving profitability and operational performance. People Leadership & Culture Lead, coach, and develop the Site Leadership Team while fostering accountability, collaboration, and employee engagement. Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and succession plans. Promote a culture of inclusion, continuous learning, ownership, and high performance. Partner with HR and functional leaders to support talent development and workforce planning. Strategy & Continuous Improvement Translate business strategy into site execution plans. Lead transformational initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving. Champion continuous improvement across all site functions. Stakeholder & External Partnerships Represent the site with regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, community stakeholders, and corporate leadership. Lead or support audits, inspections, and external reviews while maintaining strong partnerships. What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months) Safety leadership is visible and embedded across the site. Production, quality, and delivery commitments are consistently achieved while improving reliability. A continuous improvement roadmap delivers measurable gains in safety, quality, capacity, and cost. Leadership capability and accountability strengthen through coaching and succession planning. Employee engagement improves through communication and a culture of ownership. Capacity expansion and new product initiatives are successfully executed. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related technical discipline. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in chemical or comparable process manufacturing. Minimum five years leading multi-functional manufacturing operations. Demonstrated experience leading safety, quality, operational excellence, financial performance, and people development. Proven experience managing operating budgets, capital projects, and cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications MBA or advanced technical degree. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience leading a specialty chemical manufacturing facility. Experience in a global, matrixed organization. Knowledge of California manufacturing, environmental, and safety regulations. Salary:$175,000–$220,000 annually. The compensation range reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting, considering education, experience, and training.
