Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Warehouse Associate with sit-down and stand-up forklift experience and a background in electrical distribution in South Austin. As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll support daily warehouse operations including inventory handling, shipping and receiving, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for electrical distribution products.

• Operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials safely and efficiently.

• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately based on pick lists and work orders.

• Receiving incoming shipments and verifying them against packing slips and purchase orders.

• Handling, stocking, and organizing electrical distribution materials including conduit, wire, lighting, panels, breakers, and fittings.

• Maintaining inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts and reporting discrepancies.

• Using inventory software and warehouse management systems to track product movement and update records.

• Assisting drivers with loading and unloading delivery trucks and managing will-call customer orders.

• Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.

• Communicating with team members and supervisors to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

• Supporting general warehouse duties as needed including labeling, repackaging, and restocking materials.

• 2+ years of warehouse experience in electrical distribution or a similar industrial environment (required)

• Proficiency in operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts (certification preferred).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with electrical supply products and warehouse best practices.

• Comfortable using inventory systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, warehouse software).

• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• $18.00/hour, paid weekly

• Monday – Friday, 9:00-5:30
