Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry

Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers not accepted

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Required Skills Telemetry, Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias; Diagnoses include Hypertensive urgency, Afib with RVR, DKA/HHS, Sepsis, Respiratory insufficiency requiring BiPap, Heart Failure, COPD Exacerbation, Post-operative, GI Bleed, Stable stroke, Chronic ventilator care, Unstable angina, Drug Overdose

Ratio / Census: 5 beds with average daily census of 4.5

Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere (6 shifts per 6 week schedule)

Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed and possibly to sister campus (Piedmont Columbus Midtown)

Call Requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
