Stationary EngineerGreenfield, Indiana3rd shift, 12 hour shiftStationary Engineer/Boiler Operator/Utilities Technician you'll safely and efficiently operate powerhouse equipment to ensure reliable utility supplies to campus buildings. Duties include but are not limited to:Job ResponsibilitiesPerform and help facilitate completion of preventive and corrective maintenance for all power plant equipmentCoordinate all utility operations while on shiftOperate, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, and deionized water production trainsUtilize the Utility Monitoring System to monitor, control, and trend performance of plant equipmentComplete preventive and corrective maintenance work ordersProvide back-up assistance for Wastewater Treatment Plant operationsPerform water chemistry laboratory analysis on plant systems and maintain chemical parametersInvestigate abnormal facility conditions as needed after hoursFollow all SOPs and maintain a safe working environmentInteract professionally with facility staff and customersAssist the Utilities SupervisorWork with potentially hazardous substances as requiredClimb ladders and work in confined spaces as neededWork in environments with exposure to greases, oil, solvents, additives, and live steamMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentTwo or more years of experience in power plant, chilled water plant, or utility operationsPreferred QualificationsTrade school training in HVAC or boiler operationsBoiler Operator certificationOne or more years of experience operating chillersOne or more years of commercial experience performing maintenance and repair of HVAC and chiller equipmentOne or more years of experience monitoring, testing, and adjusting chemical input for boiler water feedAdditional Job StandardsFlexibility to work overtime as neededRelocation assistance is available.
