This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts, 4x10 hour schedule (07:00 - 17:30). Travel nurses are expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with experience in a Level I Trauma facility and proficiency in robotic surgeries to join our General OR team. The ideal candidate will support various surgical specialties and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role demands strong clinical judgement, independence in various procedures, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Function independently in multiple surgical specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, and Thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart surgery).
• Scrub and circulate for various procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Respond to calls as needed, with a requirement of 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix.
• Provide exceptional care to COVID-19 patients as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level I Trauma setting preferred.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Active RN license; no license hits will be accepted.
• Proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi robot; familiarity with the DV5 Da Vinci robot is a plus.
• Completion of EKG exam within 72 hours of signing contract.
• AHA or ARC certifications only.
