Join Pride Health as a Specimen Technician at Miramar, FL! This is a 6+ months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment. Role: Specimen Technician Location: Miramar, FL 33025 Shift Schedules: 3rd Shift – Start times vary between 9:00 PM, 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM (8-hour shifts with breaks) Hours per Week: 40 hours Start Date: ASAP Pay Highlights: $19.78/hour (includes third-shift differential) Key Responsibilities: Perform general specimen processing functions within the laboratory. Accurately receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing. Perform pre-sort, accessioning, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, aliquoting, and specimen distribution activities. Transport processed specimens to laboratory departments as required. Maintain productivity and quality standards in a high-volume environment. Enter and process specimen information accurately and efficiently. Understand specimen requirements and testing protocols. Follow compliance regulations related to test ordering and specimen handling. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Adhere to all company safety, quality, and compliance policies. Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel and team members. Demonstrate flexibility in supporting departmental needs, including overtime and schedule adjustments when required. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: No prior laboratory experience required. Production or high-volume processing experience is preferred. *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
