Sprinkler Service Technician

Job Overview A Security Technician for Johnson Controls in Greensboro, NC. The position focuses on troubleshooting and servicing intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems for a range of manufacturers to ensure customer satisfaction and system reliability. Responsibilities Locate and troubleshoot issues with damaged equipment or wiring. Readjust, repair, replace inoperative equipment and verify operation. Coordinate inspections or installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies as required. Perform repairs and inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems. Assist fellow technicians and complete minor repairs (e.g., battery replacement). Test system connectivity with the customer monitoring center. Accurately complete all required documentation and customer paperwork. Provide recommendations and solutions for facility efficiency, including upsell opportunities. Prepare and present quotes based on recommendations. Qualifications Five (5) years of experience in the low-voltage or security industry. Strong knowledge of major security manufacturer platforms such as Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC, and others. Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record. Pass a thorough background and identity check. Preferred: Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to unload a ladder from a fleet vehicle and climb it safely. Commitment to operating fleet vehicles in a safe manner. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $25–$34, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and ability to meet market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
