Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that consider cultural nuances and provide insights into patients' backgrounds, leading to personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of patients, fostering their emotional resilience and personal growth.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that promote healing and understanding among diverse populations.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, discussing treatment progress and adjustments during regular team meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed, offering immediate emotional support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, their treatment options, and resources available in the community, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
• Maintain accurate and secure records in compliance with legal standards, while also documenting treatment progress and outcomes.
• Participate actively in cultural competency training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and effectivity in delivering mental health care.

Your work at Prime Psychiatry will primarily focus on individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including those who are part of ethnic, cultural, and sexual minorities. Qualifications

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor credential in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working in multicultural settings with diverse patient populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and rapport-building with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic models and practices.
• Knowledge and practical understanding of crisis intervention techniques.
• Previous experience in outpatient mental health settings and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Prime Psychiatry offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
