Key Responsibilities:
- Design, troubleshoot, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment and electrical control systems
- Program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, motion control systems, VFDs, and servo drives
- Diagnose electrical and controls issues to minimize production downtime
- Design and modify control panels, wiring, and electrical circuits
- Lead automation, process improvement, and equipment upgrade projects
- Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and productivity
- Conduct equipment testing, process trials, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors on capital projects and equipment installations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, controls, or electrical engineering
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or similar platforms)
- Knowledge of HMI systems, VFDs, servo drives, encoders, and industrial automation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
- Strong troubleshooting, project management, and problem-solving skills
- AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
