Part Time Physics Instructor

Posted: Feb 19, 2026 Responsibilities Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Physics courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of Physics classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Required Qualifications Master’s in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics Or Bachelor’s in physics or astronomy and Master’s in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics Or the equivalent under the district’s equivalency procedures Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching physics to community college students Equal Employment Opportunity Statement The Yuba Community College District is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
