Position Summary The New Orleans Pelicans are seeking a Basketball Operations Intern to support our Player Development staff during the 2026-2027 basketball season. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about player development, has strong interpersonal skills, and thrives in both administrative and customer-facing settings. This position is part-time, seasonal and will work nights, weekends and holidays based on the Pelicans home game schedule. What You Will Be Doing Assist Player Development staff with administrative and operational tasks Ability to attend all Pelicans home games Support family check-in on game days, including greeting and escorting families to seats and the family room. Serve as a runner for back-of-house and player development needs during games and events. Provide professional and courteous customer service to players, families, and staff while maintaining strict discretion. Communicate effectively with players, staff, and family members. Manage minor issues with attention to detail and sound judgment. Support setup and breakdown of meal spaces and daycare Support BBO events as needed Perform other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (completed Bachelor's degree and actively pursuing Master's degree is preferred). Previous experience in sports and/or customer service strongly preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive information and interactions with discretion. Reliable transportation and availability to work all home games and assigned events. High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
