Sanitation Technician

Sanitation TechnicianThe Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production facility, including all machinery, floor, pipes, etc.Work Schedule: 2:30am-11:00am & weekends required. Starting pay is $17 per hour. This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.What You'll Be Doing:Undergo direct training in the operation of machinery needed for the effective cleaning of the assigned equipment.Prior to operation or cleaning of any machinery all employees will be given hands-on safety training.Clean assigned areas according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.Proper formulation and testing of chemicals.Follow established Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures.Proper notification of any malfunctioning machinery during cleaning process.Communicate with Production and Maintenance personnel regarding status of the lines.Maintain sanitation tools and chemical inventory.Verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and put away.Maintain organization and cleanliness of Sanitation Cage.Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor and/or the Quality Assurance Manager.Skill/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma, GED, or Associated ExperienceMust be able to work a Friday through Sunday shiftBasic Knowledge of manufacturing equipment: including, pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and power sourcesMust show mechanical aptitude and be skilled enough to perform light mechanical disassemblyProblem solving and trouble-shooting equipment failure skillsAt Bunge, our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
