Flight Nurse

Role Overview: A Flight Nurse provides critical care during patient transport, including assessment, triage, and treatment in high-pressure environments. Working alongside a Flight Paramedic, the nurse administers medication and delivers advanced life support within a helicopter's confined space. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality emergency nursing care, including assessment and intervention. Administer medications and advanced life support in transport settings. Utilize specialized medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps. Work effectively in noisy, confined, and dynamic environments. Qualifications & Skills Accredited nursing education with current RN licensure; compact licensure preferred. Minimum of three years ER or Critical Care experience. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; additional certifications like ITLS/PHTLS, ATLS, FP-C/CCP-C are required or obtainable within specified timeframes. Proficiency with medical devices and computer systems. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform various movements necessary for patient care. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Previous flight paramedic experience and certifications such as CEN or CCRN are advantageous.
