What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to Cardiac ICU patients, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes
• Manage complex cardiac care equipment such as ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, and balloon pumps
• Administer conscious sedation and assist with invasive procedures including PA lines and telemonitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in Epic and other electronic medical records
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Float within units of similar or lower acuity as needed, covering a diverse critical care environment

What You Need

• Ohio RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in Cardiac ICU
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz, and EPIC electronic health records

• Previous travel nurse experience
• Experience with balloon pumps and PA lines

The unit focuses on acute cardiac patient management, with a patient-to-nurse ratio generally between 1:1 and 2:1.
