CNA Job Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-focused customer service skills
• Ability to follow safety, privacy, and documentation standards in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Assist with bedside care, patient support, and documentation of care provided
• Support patient and employee safety by following safe handling and infection prevention practices
• Assist with menu management tasks, including preparing, delivering, and retrieving patient menus
• Help patients make menu selections that align with prescribed diets and preferences
• Update diet changes and ensure menu labeling remains accurate and compliant
• Communicate patient care and food service concerns to the department as needed
• Print and distribute reports, manage supplies, and assist with clerical office tasks
• Support trayline, food service aides, and catering operations when needed
• Attend department meetings, in-services, and complete additional duties as assigned
