divh2Office Assistant- IRMC Physician Group - Maxillofacial Surgery Office - Full Time/h2pJob Category: Administrative Support Requisition Number: OFFIC002613/ppPosted: April 22, 2026/ppFull-Time/ppOn-site/ppIndiana, PA 15701, USA/ph3Job Details/h3h3Description/h3pstrongJob Responsibilities/strong/pulliCheerfully greets and registers incoming patients and visitors in a prompt and pleasant manner, determines their needs and responds accordingly./liliRetrieves, reviews for correctness and processes patient registration forms./liliCollects, scans and updates personal and financial information (insurance cards, drivers license, etc.) obtained from patients./liliRuns insurance verification/eligibility on every patient./liliWorks insurance eligibility alerts (yellow triangle alerts)./liliCollects payments from patients and provides a receipt./liliRetrieves messages from answering service/voicemail each morning, right after lunch and throughout the workday./liliAnswers telephone and directs incoming calls to the appropriate party (e.g. physician, clinical or support staff) via message center./liliWorks Cerner message center pools and completes messages as applicable./liliSchedules patient appointments according to provider protocol./liliMaintains copays, petty cash logs and receipts./liliForwards medical record requests to the Health Information Management Department (HIM) in a timely fashion in accordance with organizational policy./liliMonitors patient reminder system daily to include cancellations, reschedules and no-show appointments.
