(USA) Operations Manager

Position Summary Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs by encouraging and supporting associates and managers in serving as good members of the community, establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals or groups in the community, representing the company to various external organizations, and championing company‑sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to associates, customers, and the local community. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by holding hourly associates accountable; analyzes and interprets reports, implements and monitors asset protection and safety controls, maintains quality assurance standards, oversees safety and operational reviews, develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies, and provides direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates in the assigned area by hiring, training, mentoring, and actively listening to associates, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and providing recognition. Sets clear expectations, communicates expectations consistently and effectively, promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace, and provides tours and feedback to ensure business goals are achieved. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience. Assists store manager in driving the financial performance of the facility by ensuring that sales and profit goals are achieved, reviewing and evaluating profit‑loss statements, and helping the management team control expenses to ensure they are indexed to sales. Develops and implements plans to correct any deficiencies in financial performance and participates in analyzing economic trends and community needs for budget forecasting. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges) State Pay Differential: This job has an additional differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable. Minimum Qualifications 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
