Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience required in high acuity hospital settings. Strong pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of cardiovascular experience required. Can consider candidates with strong level II experience. License: Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS certifications required. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Evening/night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday schedule with every other weekend and some holiday shifts required. The position involves providing family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Candidates will provide comprehensive care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical issues. The role includes management of acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, and multi-system organ failure. Specialized experience in pediatric cardiovascular intensive care is required. The unit may include mixed patient admissions from both cardiovascular and pediatric intensive care. Desired skills include end-tidal CO2 monitoring, management of ventilated patients, and experience with ECMO and CRRT. Travelers must float as needed within the facility. Completion of a telemetry exam is required prior to starting. Candidates must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary support teams. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role. The facility emphasizes a healing environment tailored for pediatric patients and families. Experience in managing critical care scenarios and pediatric dosage calculations is preferred. Ability to utilize advanced technologies and interventions for patient care is required.
