Position Operations/Facility Manager (Operations/Facility Lead) Job Type Full‑time Location FFC South Loop Compensation $20 per hour Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the opening and closing of the club as a team member manager Help retain and attract new members through club promotion and customer service excellence Staff housekeeping, maintenance, and key holding departments; prepare and assign working schedules; keep time records and approve payroll; maintain personnel files; evaluate employees annually Train housekeeping staff to maintain detailed cleanliness and photo‑readiness of all club areas through daily walkthroughs and checklists Train key holders on task completion while ensuring highest service standards and update responsibilities as needed Ensure all equipment and mechanicals function properly with the maintenance team and vendors; use equipment maintenance forms to communicate repair progress Attend special events and new member functions Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, including all‑staff meetings Maintain and purchase inventory of supplies; recommend necessary capital equipment and major repairs to the General Manager Handle project work from bid process through completion, staying within budget and to brand standard Establish relationships with fitness vendors and set standards for equipment maintenance Form disaster (safety) committee and develop plans for handling fire and other emergencies Prepare an annual budget with the General Manager; control expenditures in line with budget for housekeeping payroll, R&M, supplies, pool expenses, and suppliers Qualifications Manual dexterity and physical strength Ability to take direction from ownership/management and assist in special projects Ability to communicate effectively with staff and members, promoting high levels of customer service within the staff Ability to organize, administer, and delegate work and authority Physical Requirements Extended periods of standing/sitting during shift Ability to bend at the waist, sit, kneel, lay horizontally, climb, walk, etc., as job may require Noise level may require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs Ability to climb ladders; position may require work at heights up to 30 feet Use of ladders and a hydraulic lift will be required Exposure to chemicals and cleaning solutions What We Offer Insurance: Medical, Dental, and Vision through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois 401(k): Company match Life Insurance: Company‑paid Professional Development: FFC matches 50% of educational costs up to $200 per year Fitness Education: Discounts on certifications (e.g., Pilates, Yoga, Personal Trainer) Continued Education: Access to FFC University courses and discounted certifications Club Membership: Complimentary access to all FFC locations Discounts: 25% off Spa, Retail, and Fitness classes Employee Appreciation: Programs and benefits like pet insurance, T‑Mobile discounts, and more Inclusive Culture: A welcoming and diverse team environment Our Commitment to Hospitality: FFC offers a robust training program mandatory for all employees.
