Construction Safety Manager

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support commercial construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
This position is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys working in the field, collaborating with construction teams, and promoting a strong culture of workplace safety.
Our client is an established safety consulting company that partners with contractors and construction organizations to provide on-site safety oversight, compliance support, and risk management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily safety operations on active construction sites.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee training.
- Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across construction teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction safety, preferably within commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations.
- Experience conducting jobsite inspections and implementing safety procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with construction crews and management.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience working on union construction sites is a plus.
- Relevant safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, or equivalent are a plus.
