Senior Foundry Test Engineer

PsiQuantum’s mission is to build the first useful quantum computers—machines capable of delivering the breakthroughs the field has long promised. In 2024, PsiQuantum announced government‑funded projects to support the build‑out of our first utility‑scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois. These initiatives reflect a growing recognition that quantum computing will be strategically and economically defining—and that now is the time to scale. PsiQuantum also develops the algorithms and software needed to make these systems commercially valuable. Our application, software, and industry teams work directly with leading Fortune 500 companies—including Lockheed Martin, Mercedes‑Benz, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Mitsubishi Chemical—to prepare quantum solutions for real‑world impact. Job Summary This role will focus on supporting foundry level optical and electrical testing, including end of line tests, in‑line test development, and cross‑facility matching. Responsibilities Improve system throughput and capabilities for electrical and optical test. Work with foundry and vendor teams to improve throughput and capability. Work with foundry development teams on test data analysis and test improvement, including sampling and cross‑facility matching. This job will include work on data analysis and recipe support for remote tools, including tools on multiple sites. A high priority is placed on the ability to work with a large, disparate team with a high degree of independence. Experience / Qualifications BS minimum, PhD preferred. 5+ years of experience in: Wafer level photonic test or characterization. Fiber and FAU based high‑speed testing. Data analysis. Ability to troubleshoot optical and system level problems. Python/sql/other programming is highly beneficial. Experience working with engineers and technologists in R&D and NPI environments.
