Job Title: Sanitation Specialist

Job Description

The Sanitation Specialist keeps the facility clean, safe, and sanitary to support the production of high-quality food and beverage products. You clean and sanitize equipment, production areas, and workspaces, follow established cleaning schedules, and help ensure the facility meets all food safety and sanitation regulations. This role requires working on your feet for extended periods, lifting items as needed, and operating in hot, cold, or humid environments while safely handling cleaning chemicals and consistently following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and workspaces according to established procedures.
• Follow daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning schedules to maintain a sanitary facility.
• Use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety, and promptly report any issues or concerns.
• Help prevent contamination by following food safety and sanitation practices at all times.
• Support compliance with food safety regulations, including GMP and FDA-related sanitation requirements.
• Work closely with other team members to maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
• Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines when working around cleaning chemicals and production equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required for sanitation activities and inspections.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of sanitation or cleaning experience (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of cleaning practices and food safety principles.
• Understanding of contamination prevention and sanitizing techniques in a food manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA-related food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Reliability, organization, and a collaborative team mindset.
• Comfort working on your feet for long periods and lifting items as needed.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, or humid conditions while maintaining safety and productivity.

Shift = Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

**Will train on first for a couple weeks**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maitland, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Maitland,FL.
