QA/QC Manager

Job Summary Job Title: QA/QC Manager Location: Tempe, Arizona Reports to: Project Manager Responsibilities Enhance and maintain comprehensive quality program. Develop and manage welding QC plans and documentation. Review WPS, PQR, and WPQ. Coordinate with third‑party inspectors and clients. Maintain welder certifications and inspection records. Support training and resolve quality issues. Preferred Education and/or Experience Degree in Welding Tech or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in HVAC or piping systems. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). 3–5 years of welding QC experience in construction. Knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API 1104. Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT). Strong communication and documentation skills. Additional certifications (e.g., NDT Level II, ASQ). Language Skills Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations. Physical Demands The position requires sitting, seeing, talking, and hearing. Requires communicating verbally and in writing one on one, in small groups, and presenting to larger groups. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods. Work Environment Typical office environment with occasional travel to field locations. Noise level usually moderate to loud.
