Purchasing Specialist / Buyer Upstate SC | Manufacturing A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Purchasing Specialist / Buyer to join its team. This role will manage material sourcing, purchasing, vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, inventory levels, and on‑time delivery. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, cost‑conscious, and enjoys finding the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities Source materials and evaluate vendors, pricing, quality, and lead times Request and compare quotes and negotiate pricing and terms Create and manage purchase orders Monitor inventory and ensure timely delivery of materials Maintain strong supplier relationships and address purchasing issues Analyze costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation Collaborate with internal departments to meet material needs Identify process improvements and support purchasing‑related projects Qualifications 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supplier management experience preferred Experience with RFQs, purchase orders, vendor management, and cost analysis Strong negotiation and analytical skills Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience with ERP systems and ability to learn new technology quickly Strong communication and interpersonal skills Self‑motivated, proactive, dependable, and team‑oriented High School Diploma required; some college preferred Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and drug screening What You'll Bring We're looking for a bargain hunter who is comfortable negotiating, solving problems, managing multiple priorities, and finding ways to improve purchasing efficiency—while maintaining positive, professional relationships with vendors and coworkers. #J-18808-Ljbffr Smart Work | Network, Inc.
