Securities & Derivatives Analyst
The Sec & Derivatives Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. Responsibilities include:
- Reconciliation of accounts managed by the Securities & Derivatives area
- Serving as an analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
- Minimizing risk to the bank by monitoring errors and suggesting solutions that reduce errors, and ensuring adherence to audit and control policies
- Monitoring, analyzing and evaluating processes and data to ensure the accuracy and quality of completed settlement tasks
- Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
- Leading projects and initiatives
- Supporting Sec Finance Trading Desk with Trade Corrections, Trade Recalls, Return Processing, and Contract Compare
- Providing Cash Investment Support for Money Market Fund, Time Deposit, Repo, and Mutual Fund investment processing
- Contributing to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management
- Supporting implementation of securities processing improvements
- Assisting with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processed
- Providing informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required
