We are looking for a Data Architect (Lead Engineer / Jr Architect) with strong Informatica experience to design, build, and govern enterprise data integration and data warehouse solutions. You will combine hands-on ETL development with data modeling and architecture ownership, guide the delivery team, and work with business and technical stakeholders from design through production support.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or data architecture
- Strong hands-on Informatica: PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Monitor) and/or IDMC/IICS (Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Application Integration)
- Data modeling: conceptual, logical, and physical; star schema, snowflake schema, SCD Types 1/2/3, 3NF
- Data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or similar
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL; query and index tuning on Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar
- Data warehouse and data mart design, including staging, ODS, and reporting layers
- ETL best practices: error handling, restartability, audit and reconciliation, incremental and CDC loads
- Experience integrating varied sources: relational databases, flat files, APIs, XML/JSON, and mainframe or legacy feeds
- Job scheduling and orchestration (Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or similar)
- Version control and release management (Git, Jenkins, or similar)
- Ability to lead design reviews, set standards, and mentor engineers
- Strong written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Informatica
- Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Define architecture standards, mapping patterns, reusable components, and naming conventions
- Make and document architecture decisions for the warehouse and integration layers
- Review and approve designs and code from the development team
- Tune Informatica mappings, sessions, workflows, and SQL for performance and scalability
- Plan and support migrations, including PowerCenter to IDMC where applicable
- Define data quality checks, reconciliation, and audit controls
- Work with business analysts, QA, and stakeholders to turn requirements into designs
- Support data governance, metadata, lineage, and security requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues and own root-cause analysis and fixes
- Maintain design documentation, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionaries
- Take part in Agile ceremonies, estimation, and sprint planning

Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS, Azure, or GCP experience; Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks
- Informatica Data Quality, MDM, Axon, or EDC exposure
- Data governance, metadata management, and lineage tools
- Python or shell scripting for automation
- CI/CD for data pipelines and Agile delivery experience
- Informatica or cloud certifications
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
