Responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and evaluate total patient care using the nursing process for medical-surgical patients
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor patient responses and safety
- Educate patients and families, support discharge planning, and promote patient understanding of care plans
- Supervise and delegate to support staff as appropriate while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Document care clearly and accurately in the medical record; uphold infection control and patient safety practices

Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS required through the American Heart Association
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting
- Eligible for employment in the United States for a travel assignment
