Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. This position requires candidates to possess a Wisconsin Registered Nurse license and bring their license on the first day. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients requiring advanced cardiovascular and thoracic postoperative care. The candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of complex clinical procedures in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Madison, WI
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular
• Shift: Night/Evening, 12-hour shifts, 1900-0730, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, 2 years of recent CVICU experience, Basic Arrhythmia experience, travel experience, pass telemetry test prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or acuity adaptable area.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates will be required to pass a telemetry test with strict criteria in two attempts and must have two years of recent acute care experience in the specialty. The position involves handling advanced equipment such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, CVVHD/CRRT, and more. The unit supports multiple specialized procedures and complex patient needs, including post-cardiac surgery care and management of multisystem organ failure.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Submittal Requirements: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience and pass a telemetry test before being cleared to start.
