Social Worker - Licensed Master Social Worker

WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support patients in an acute care hospital setting in New York City. The LMSW will provide psychosocial assessments, supportive counseling, discharge planning, and referral coordination for patients across inpatient medicine, surgery, and rehabilitation units. Candidates with prior hospital-based social work experience in med/surg or rehab settings are highly preferred.


Compensation : $58 - $62.97

Job Function:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
• Provide supportive therapy and emotional support to patients and families
• Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
• Facilitate referrals to community resources and post-acute services
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care plans
• Advocate for patient needs and appropriate resource utilization
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation

Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license issued by NYSED
• Minimum 1 year of LMSW experience
• Prior inpatient hospital experience preferred
• Experience in medicine/surgery (med/surg) and rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
