Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool M/S Tele RN with active MA licensure and telemetry experience to cover 8 med/surg telemetry units on evening and every-other-weekend shifts.

Job Details

• Float pool position requiring flexibility to work across 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow,
• Care for ED boarder patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients,
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights,
• Facility bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds,
• Shift schedule of 11:00-23:30 with every-other-weekend requirement,
• Rotation required between days/evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract,
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule over a 13-week assignment,
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting,
• Free on-site parking available,

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted),
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required,
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required,
• Telemetry monitoring experience required, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours,
• Experience with TR Band, Cardiac Drips, and reading telemetry strips required,
• EPIC EMR charting experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips,
• 2 years of telemetry experience preferred,
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed,
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate
