Inside Customer Support Specialist

Full Time, 8 am – 5 pm

Position Summary

We're looking for an accurate, organized, and efficient Inside Customer Support Specialist to support our Inside Sales team. You'll enter customer orders for products and sharpening services into our ERP system, review orders for accuracy, and make sure they're released to production on time.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that's a great fit for someone who is resourceful, detail-oriented, and enjoys keeping things moving while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication

· Respond to customer calls and emails regarding order status, delivery dates, and shipping updates

· Prepare and send quotes for products and sharpening services

· Work with Production and Purchasing to provide customers with accurate lead times and product availability

· Keep customer records, order information, and correspondence current in the ERP system

Order Entry & Fulfillment

· Enter and process customer sales orders for two KINKELDER branches

· Enter and manage orders for sharpening services, helping ensure they are processed and shipped on time

· Review orders for accuracy and completeness before releasing them to production

· Print shipment documentation for manufactured items

· Follow up on order issues or missing information to help prevent delays

General

· Work closely with Inside Sales, Production, and Purchasing to keep customer orders moving

· Communicate order changes, issues, or delays to the appropriate team members

· Provide backup support for other office processes as cross-training grows

Qualifications

· 1–2+ years of experience in order entry, B2B customer service, inside sales support, or a similar role

· Fast and accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail

· Experience with an ERP or order management system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus

· Basic Excel and Outlook skills, including filters, sorting, and basic formulas

· Clear and professional communication with customers and coworkers

· Ability to manage incoming calls and emails while keeping up with daily order volume

· Strong organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

· Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or a service/repair environment
