A leading inpatient pharmacy opportunity is available within a prominent Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital. This role is ideal for clinical pharmacists with a strong background in inpatient care who are seeking a pathway to a permanent position in a respected health system. The hospital values candidates with a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency, but all qualified pharmacists with approximately two years of inpatient experience are encouraged to apply.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: Contract, with a temp-to-hire track

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Flexibility required to work primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient units, ensuring safe and effective medication management
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
• Participate in rounds and provide drug information and consultation
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Prepare for and successfully pass a competency exam as part of the onboarding process

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active licensure in California
• PGY1 residency preferred; alternatively, at least two years of current inpatient pharmacy experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
