Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation of equipment and facilities. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment. The Maintenance Technician supports operational efficiency by promptly addressing equipment malfunctions and implementing effective solutions. Responsibilities Essential Duties: Maintains production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment. Responsible for pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic operations of equipment. Maintains facilities and grounds in a clean, well-kept and efficient operating manner as needed. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic equipment, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Maintains safe and clean working environment by implementing 6S. Complies with all Company and Federal safety procedures, rules, and regulations. Other duties not listed herein but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and timely day-to-day operations of the plant. Liases with EHS and OSHA to ensure safety compliance. Assist other Maintenance Technicians install and maintain production machinery and other plant equipment. Assist other Maintenance Technicians perform emergency/unscheduled repairs. Responsible for mechanical troubleshooting on equipment. Responsible for providing your own basic tools (specialty tools will be provided by the company). Able to perform essential job functions outside of normal working hours. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: HS Degree or GED Associates degree in a technical field or technical certification required Minimum 3 years experience in industrial maintenance Previous leadership experience a plus Ability to work independently of others (with limited supervision), as well as with a team to resolve issues. Ability to use and maintain a computerized maintenance work order system (CMMS). Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
