Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to join our team in our Middletown, CT location. We are a growing practice with ample opportunity for career growth. Qualifications Who you are: High School Diploma or equivalent required. General knowledge of office procedures and computer systems. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to handle high stress, busy work environment. Knowledge of Word & Outlook required. Orthopedic and/or casting experience preferred. Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Travel between satellite offices required. MA CERTIFIED PREFERRED: Eligible candidates may be trained and graduated from a medical assisting program (may be a one-year certificate or diploma program or a two-year associate degree program) that is accredited by either CAAHEP or ABHES. Additional eligible candidates considered from completed CNA and EMT programs in addition to previous medical experience as an intern or scribe.
