Overview
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – Inpatient Rehab in Canaan, CT. Travel assignment starts 08/01/2026 for 13 weeks in a long-term care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,361 to $1,441 per week. There are no guaranteed hours. Shift is 08:00–16:30 (8.5 hours per day).

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the plan of care for adult patients in an inpatient rehab context within a long-term care setting.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities designed to improve independence with activities of daily living, mobility, balance, and safety during transfers.
- Collect and document data on patient progress, communicate changes to the OT team, and adjust interventions as directed.
- Collaborate with occupational and physical therapy colleagues to implement and refine the plan of care.
- Ensure patient safety, maintain infection control standards, and manage equipment and supplies according to policy.
- Document appropriately in patient records and contribute to care coordination and discharge planning as needed.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential with CT licensure or eligibility.
- Ability to work in inpatient rehab and long-term care settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document clearly and accurately.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment and to travel as required by the role.
- Basic understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality; ability to follow physician orders and facility policies.
- Prior experience in inpatient rehab or long-term care settings is preferred.
