Restaurant Server Job Summary: The Server is responsible for ensuring that guests have an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive and efficient service. This includes greeting guests, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and handling guest requests in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities Greet Guests: Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude as they arrive at their tables. Take Orders: Accurately take food and beverage orders, answering any questions about the menu and making suggestions as needed. Serve Food & Beverages: Deliver food and drinks to guests in a timely and organized manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Customer Service: Anticipate guests’ needs, provide refills, and respond promptly to any additional requests. Upsell: Suggest additional menu items such as appetizers, desserts, or drink specials to enhance the dining experience. Handle Payments: Present checks, process payments (cash, credit cards, gift cards), and return change or receipts. Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure tables are clean and well-maintained throughout service. Assist in clearing dishes and resetting tables after guests leave. Handle Complaints: Address any guest concerns or complaints in a calm and professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth operations and service flow. Follow Health & Safety Standards: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a serving or customer service role is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables at once. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods of time. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
