Job Summary Under the general direction of the Director of Rooms and the Executive Housekeeper, and within the limits of the hotel’s policies and procedures manage the entire Housekeeping function in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper for The One&Only Moonlight Basin. This includes the service vision and concepts, oversees and directs all aspects of overall Housekeeping operations which includes guest rooms, public areas, laundry and back of house areas. Key Duties And Responsibilities Ensure that all Housekeeping team members report for duty in a timely manner and are issued with the relevant tools of the trade to carry out daily tasks Hand out all work assignments to each Housekeeping team member. Follow-up on tasks assigned to team members regarding job quality and efficiency Ensure the linen stock is adequately managed in that Par Levels as well as general condition of the linen is maintained at standard Ensure that all operating inventories are accurate and timely ordering of report to Executive Housekeeper. Responsible for reviewing and assisting performance appraisals of Housekeeping team members based on the One&Only Moonlight Basin company policies and guidelines To ensure all Very Important Guest (VIP) rooms are checked by the Manager Housekeeping/Assistant Manager Housekeepers for morning and turndown service Responsible for inspecting VIP rooms and taking care of any special requirements (Service pillow menu…) To ensure all maintenance issues are reported to the Maintenance department and Security department and to be follow up To ensure that any loses or damages to furniture and fittings or equipment are reported to the Executive Housekeeper/ Security department Plan schedules for Special Cleaning (spring cleaning, windows, high windows, marble, sandstone areas, basement parking, and carpets etc.) To identify training needs, especially for Housekeeping team, assist in the development of formal and informal training plans and implement training sessions on an on-going basis and to inform Executive Housekeeper To assist with any other duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper or another member of the management team Skills, Qualifications And Requirements Education – High School Basic computer skills and knowledge on Word, Excel and Opera Must have basic accounting skills 2 years of previous supervisory or management experience within housekeeping Benefits Medical insurance - 80% of premium paid by employer Health Savings Account with $50 employer contribution per pay period Dental, vision & life insurance - 100% of premium paid by employer 5 weeks of PTO (Paid Time Off) 8 paid holidays Uniform provided & complimentary laundering Complimentary transportation to/from resort Complimentary meal per shift Discounts at F&B outlets on property 14 nights per year at $100/night* at Kerzner Properties worldwide Winter season includes complimentary ski pass to Big Sky Resort based on availability OR $225 reimbursement towards gym membership Physical Requirements The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation.Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environmentfor extended periods Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc. Our brand is expanding faster than ever before.
