Job Description

Job Summary:

The Staff RN in Medical Surgical provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. They coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs through comprehensive evaluation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and other team members.
• Document all nursing actions and patient responses clearly, accurately, and legibly.

Qualifications:

• Complete an accredited nursing program resulting in a diploma, ADN, or BSN.
• Hold a valid Ohio nursing license with current CPR certification.
• Possess previous registered nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively and make independent decisions.
