Welder / Fabricator
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Welder / Fabricators for a metal fabrication and manufacturing company in Long Prairie, MN. In this role, you'll weld and fabricate trailer and dump box components while supporting a productive, safety-focused shop environment. Perform MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding on mild steel materials
Complete welding and fabrication projects according to specifications and blueprints
Operate oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment for material preparation
Measure, inspect, and verify completed work using precision measuring tools
Operate shop equipment including overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts safely
Communicate project issues, changes, or concerns to the Shop Supervisor
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures
Minimum of 2+ years of MIG welding experience on mild steel
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Proficiency with welding equipment and plasma cutting operations
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform frequent bending, standing, and material handling
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal fabrication shop practices
