AHMG ICU at AdventHealth Heart of Florida APRN or PA Overview Opportunities in the ICU at AdventHealth Central Florida. We are seeking PA’s and APRN’s to join our expanding critical care team, providing ICU management, patient care, research, teaching, consulting, and leadership. General Summary Obtain patient health histories, complete physical examinations, and document findings. Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, explaining purpose, preparation, and expected outcomes to patients, families, staff, and learners. Formulate and implement treatment plans for acute illness management in collaboration with supervising physicians and document as required. Assess patients for status changes and initiate appropriate interventions, including emergency measures to stabilize patients. Perform procedures such as arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery catheter insertion and management, CPR, airway management (bag‑mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation/egestion, tube repositioning), and defibrillation. Direct administration of life‑supporting drugs per established protocols. Participate in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research. Schedule Information 14, 12‑hour shifts per month. Two weekends per month required. Hours: 7 PM to 7 AM (night). Campus: AH Heart of Florida. Requirements Master’s Degree in Nursing (Acute Care Certificate required) or Education in Physician Assistant Studies. 5 years of ICU RN experience OR 3 years as an APRN in the ICU. 3 years as a PA in the ICU OR 5 years as a PA in a surgical specialty. Certifications Current, valid Florida APRN or PA‑C license. Acute Care Certificate required for APRNs. Current ACLS and BLS certification.
