Ultrasound Technologist RE Req #: 0000256100 Category: Radiology / Imaging / Radiation Status: Part-Time (Hourly) Shift: Day Facility: Community Medical Center Department: OP Women's Imaging Location: 99 Highway 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755 Pay Range: $50.91 - $62.55 per hour (New Jersey) Job Overview Ultrasound Technologist RE provides patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment. The analyst produces and analyses ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment, and renders quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of ultrasound services. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited ultrasound school Successful completion of department specific orientation Certifications and Licenses Required Certified by the ARRT or ARDMS AHA BLS required Scheduling Requirements Day shift Part-time Essential Functions Assist radiologist with special examinations Calculate mathematical functions Demonstrate competency with the use of RIS and PACS Employ professional judgement and discretion while performing all imaging procedures Enter patient information, select appropriate transducer, set initial power input and instrument gain for patient size and age, and select menu items as required for type of equipment and provide consistent and optimal image quality Interact with physicians regarding data Knowledge of physiology, disease, pathology, and pathophysiology Maintain clean examination rooms and work environment in all areas Recognize ultrasonic representation of normal and abnormal structures, organs, system relationships and relational anatomy Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
