Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pacemaker Electrophysiology / Device Clinic position requiring cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) management experience and IBHRE certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Device Clinic supporting cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) patients
• Manage pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) across major device platforms including Biotronik, Medtronic, Abbott, and Boston Scientific
• Perform device interrogations, remote monitoring, and programming adjustments per provider orders
• Conduct diagnostic testing including EKGs, event monitors, Holter monitors, and Zio Patch application/removal
• Coordinate care for patients undergoing MRI studies, surgical procedures, and other interventions involving CIEDs
• Day shift schedule, 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week (0.9 FTE)
• May require working beyond standard hours, including occasional weekends and after-hours shifts
• On-call responsibilities may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Montana or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• BSN required
• Minimum 1-2 years of registered nursing experience required
• IBHRE certification required
• Experience managing cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs) required
• Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia management and ECG/EKG interpretation required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform continuous standing, walking, and fine motor tasks

Additional Information

• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding CIEDs, arrhythmia management, and electrophysiology procedures including ablation therapy
• Coordinate follow-up care and maintain device clinic databases and patient records
• Collaborate with radiology, surgical, anesthesia, and other interdisciplinary teams
• Assess and coordinate care for walk-in and urgent patient needs
• Maintain exam and treatment room cleanliness, organization, and supply stocking
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
