The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment in a highly automated automotive manufacturing environment. This role focuses on keeping 3-phase motors, conveyors, presses, robots, and related systems operating safely and efficiently, performing both reactive repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on night shift.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment, including 3-phase motors, conveyors, presses, pumps, and ovens.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on 480V, 277V, 120V AC and 12V/24V DC control systems to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems and robotics, including Fanuc and ABB robots, using ladder logic and control schematics where applicable.
• Complete daily preventive maintenance (PM) tasks when not responding to equipment breakdowns, ensuring equipment reliability and uptime.
• Test and verify proper operation of 12V and 24V DC controls and 480V AC systems using appropriate electrical test equipment.
• Read, interpret, and apply electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and blueprints to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform general mechanical repairs, including work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as cylinders, valves, and actuators.
• Support production by responding promptly to equipment failures and working efficiently to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with project work, including installation, modification, and improvement of equipment and production lines, as needed.
• Utilize welding (mig) skills and conduit bending capabilities on project and repair work when required.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and PMs accurately to support reliability and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements.

• Prefer 35 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally supported by an associates degree in a related field.
• Will consider entry-level candidates with a relevant degree; candidates without a degree must have approximately 10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong multi-skilled background with experience in electrical systems (including 480V), mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting on 480V, 277V, 120V AC and 12V/24V DC control systems.
• Ability to test and diagnose 12V and 24V DC controls and 480V AC systems using appropriate tools and methods.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-based systems and controls; ladder logic knowledge is preferred.
• Demonstrated skill in using electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics during troubleshooting.
• Capability to work effectively in a highly automated, automotive manufacturing environment under time-sensitive conditions.

• Associates degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechatronics, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic knowledge are considered a strong plus, even if not strictly required.
• Experience with robotics troubleshooting, particularly Fanuc and ABB robots, is highly desirable.
• Mig welding skills are a plus for maintenance and project work.
• Conduit bending experience is a plus for electrical installations and modifications.
• Comfort working with 3-phase motors, conveyors, presses, pumps, and ovens in an automated production environment.
• Ability to work night shift (2nd shift, 6 PM6 AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule, including every other weekend.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks in a high-pressure setting.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with production, engineering, and other maintenance team members.

This role is based in a large, highly automated Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility producing automotive sheet glass. The environment is fast-paced and can be stressful at times, as timely product delivery is a top priority. The facility is clean and well-lit but not temperature controlled, resulting in a very hot environment year-round. Many areas require cut-proof, long-sleeve jackets as part of the dress code to ensure safety. You will work primarily with advanced automation technologies, including Fanuc and ABB robots, conveyors, pumps, presses, and ovens, on the night shift (2nd shift, 6 PM6 AM) following a 2-2-3 schedule. The setting offers daily interaction with complex equipment and systems, making it ideal for those who thrive in hands-on, industrial maintenance work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VERSAILLES, KY.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.
