Restaurant General Manager - Toast

Overview Toast Restaurants seeks a General Manager who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and leading a high‑performing team. Responsibilities Hands‑on leadership approach, including acting as a team leader and shift manager as needed. Directly manage team leaders for all front‑of‑house operations (hosts, bussers, food runners, servers, and bar). Train and support the management team on hiring, terminations, coaching, recognition/reward, training, effective communication, and morale building. Oversee day‑to‑day restaurant operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with management and staff. Maintain a strong working relationship with back‑of‑house management to foster camaraderie and unity. Manage overall budgets, operational costs, and maintain cost efficiency. Maintain an environment of excellence and high standards in execution. Provide training and support on resolving guest concerns and issues. Implement protocols to improve overall guest experience. Focus management and team on building guest relationships. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of leadership and management experience at a high‑volume restaurant. 1 year of full‑service bar experience. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 7 shifts or similar products, Toast Tab or similar. Open availability from 6am‑5pm, 7 days a week. Experience managing an entire restaurant with at least 50 employees. Physical Demands All positions may involve lifting, moving, or loading items weighing up to 75 pounds. Employees must stand, walk, sit, talk or hear, use hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell. Vision requirements include close vision of 20 inches or less, distance vision of 20 feet or more, color vision capable of identifying and distinguishing colors, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
