Senior Project Engineering Manager

Project Engineering ManagerThe Project Engineering Manager (PEM) will lead the technical coordination and integration of major equipment and product subsystems for large hydro projects. This role works closely with Product Management, the Engineering Centre of Excellence, the Project Office, customers, and external partners to manage interfaces, support execution, and ensure technical, cost, and performance targets are met. This position is based on site in Phoenix, Arizona, at the customer location.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDefine and discuss customer requirements and the conformity of the system to the contractual specificationsIdentify alternatives and optimization opportunities that could impact the design, supplies or site operations, based on the strategy determined by the project teamImprove, Coordinate and Control the interfaces internally, for customers and partnersDeliver specifications and interface data to the partners (system, turbines, generators and civil engineers)Provide work packages to the Centre of Excellence for the project, including client requirements, interfaces, planning, performance, reliability and costs in accordance with what has been soldIdentify technical risks and opportunitiesTechnical point of contact for customers and external partnersAccept or reject changes in case of deviations from customer requirements or GE standardsParticipate in project review meetingsRequirementsMinimum Bachelor's degree in engineeringMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience with turbine/generator project execution.Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%Desired CharacteristicsExperience with pump storage plants and/or hydropower turbine and generator projects is highly preferredCustomer-facing experience and/or technical coordination experience in a project environmentRelevant experience in planning and management of work packagesSignificant experience in managing in a global matrix environmentStrong communication and project management skillsProven leadership and negotiation skillsTeam-player, positive & engaged contributor to the team, willingness to learn & adapt to business needsGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
